    Interesting Clothing Hook

    Hello friends,
On my recent trip to Germany, I dug this lovely pewter clothing hook with lots of silver gilt still on it. This type of hook seems to be only found in southern Germany and they sometimes depict Bible scenes. This one shows Jonah emerging from the whale. It dates to 1600s or 1700s.

How would it have been worn? I have never heard of or seen one before.
