    Shovel Sling

I hate carrying my mid-sized shovel, (it's hard swinging a detector, holding a shovel and smoking a cig.[I know I shouldn't be doing the later]), but I find it an indispenable tool in some areas. I have been thinking of attaching a sling to it Anyone have any thoughts or have done this themselves?

    Re: Shovel Sling

hey Rob i had a hook welded on my relic shovel so when i'm tired of carrying it i can hook onto my belt , works well too.

Great Idea Del! Now people will really think we are land surveyors. People have no clue. I've had people say , Oh you have to dig to find coins? lol lol

One thing to take in to account is your height and the shovel length. Being 5'6, I had to get the little Eagle. It's like 27 inches . Maybe I'll get to use it if the rain stops and the fields dry a little.
