    civil war relics ,(buttons)

    These are the 2 ive found this year here in iowa, i know you've seen them on the finds page ,, a calvery officers button,some goldstill on it ,and a G.A.R. button ,some gold on it also , found about 6 inches down in different old yards here in my town also i showed these before i think , infantry officers button , lots of guilding on it and the name badge from the same yard ,they were lost by the man that built the house in 1856, won the medal of honor in the civil war and lived in my home town, ifound them about 3 feet apart about 10 inchs deep

    Cool buttons. They make me think of the history behind the as to who wore them how they got lost, etc. Nice finds.

    Nice Cavalry button Dave I have yet to find one. And the GAR buttons is a good one too. I like finding buttons like that. It add a personal association to my finds. Brings you right back in time to days long gone. Thanks for the pictures.

    Those are some great buttons!
