    Mexican Coin...

    Hello all!

    I can't determine the denomination of year range on this coin... Looks like it could be from early to late 1800's... *SHRUG*





    Size Reference:

    Hey Paul Did that get the heart rate up a bit? lol Nice score, and DaddyDigger is right thumbsup01 But I am not sure if it's an 8 reales. I wonder if they made them smaller It's about the size of a 1/2 or 1 reale (inflation you know lol) Dating it is going to be hard though. At least you know where the date is located now. Maybe you can see some of it. Nice find!!

    George, my heart sure did race some... I was thinking colonial silver...

    I can make out an 1832 with the magnifying glass at the right angle... I just need to get a picture of that now...

    hey Paul that would of definately got my blood going Mexican liberty cap and rays 1/2 reale and yes it looks like an 1832 to me . great find and congrats

    Thats a very interesting coin. It just goes to show you never know what is going to come out of the ground at any time.
