A Big Thank You to Pulltab Steve

Can't thank Pulltab Steve enough for finding the King George penny I lost a few weeks back. Steve and I were hunting woods and I found a large copper. I rested the coin on my shovel for a picture and most likley after sending a text to my wife about the find grabbed my shovel and moved on (without putting the coin in my pouch! :bangahead01: :bangahead01: Steve called me this morning and said he found it He drove to my house this morning and returned it to me. Just goes to show the great people you meet metal detecting thumbsup01 Steve, thanks to you I can sleep again! HH
For more pictures of the coin see Steve's post: '57 Day.

Yup! Steve's one of the really good guys.

Glad you have the chance to hunt with him.

I've traveled a long way, and many of the roads weren't paved.

I just so happen to have some really cool hunting partners here on Long Island. Of course I could have just of easily put it with my finds and forgot about it. Thats not what we as treasure hunters are about. We find old HS rings and try to return them to the owners dont we? From the members I've talked to on here, you all would have done the same thing I did. Im glad you got it back Mike!

Congrats Mike on finding it the first time! That is a very nice coin.

Not too many coins out there get to offer two treasure hunters the thrill of finding it.

.... yet another reason why a good hunting partner makes the hobby even better.

    Congrats to both of you!!
