This afternoon I had an opportunity to detect for a few hours, so I headed to the same site that yielded the Barber coins this past Saturday. This time I decided to employ a grid, and it paid off as I picked up another four silver coins, a 1843 Seated dime and three mercs, dated 1918, 1923, and 1943.
Here is the 1918 mercury dime peeking through the hardened soil.
A few more wheat cents to add to the pile.
I sure hope the weather holds up for the weekend.
HH!
