My brother has a Minelabe SE

He is very good with it but I am also wondering if the coil on an E-trac would work on it plus would there be any advantage to his detector with an E-trac coil. I told him a while back after he had broken one of the ears on the coil he ought to get a new coil, he fixed it the next day and used some really hardcore epoxy and will probably never break in the same spot again.

I believe the 11 Pro coil on the E trac should fit the SE. As with all Minelab products it's not a cheap coil, but worth it in my opinion. I have read many people liking the weight reduction and stability and separation of the new Pro coil. I have mine on my E Trac most of the time except when I want to get through as much junk as possible. Then I use my Sunray X-5 coil.

As George mentioned, the 11 Pro coil would work with the Explorer SE. I do like the SE's 10 Slimline stock coil, but I think the Pro coil offers better stability. It is also lightweight, and likely yields a bit more depth than the Slimline.
