    Early morning silver

Was up before sunrise this morning and headed to a park I had not been to before. It was built in 1940 and was quite large for parks in my area. I could tell a lot of the park had been changed and fill added to a large open area of the park. I found a small section that was about 30 yards by 15 yards that had not been filled. Managed the four wheats in which three of them were 1940D and the other one being a 1944. The silver was a nice suprise and makes number 27 for the year. I am just hoping I can hit 30 before it gets too cold! crying01 Almost forgot but I also picked up an old lipstick tube that was very deep.

The coins were not all that deep really. I would say an average of 7-8 inches. The lipstick tube was easily 9-10 inches deep.

I bet that silver dime was giving off a sweet, recognizable tone. 8) The lipstick does look old, and at that depth it must have been there for quite some time. Nice digs, Steve. thumbsup01

Silver is always good. It makes for a good day's hunt. Nice wheats too, but stop finding the same dates lol there are other years you know!! Glad you got some time out before it becomes too cold to hunt.
