Howdy Diggers,
Since we are snowed in I decided to try some treasure hunting at the bank. I bought $200 worth of half dollars. 10 of the rolls were all silver!! Here's some pics:
Thanks for looking, HH and on-on!

Wow you really cleaned up on the coin roll hunting, a big congrats thumbsup01
BONANZA !!!! thumbsup01 I always dreamed of an incredible day at CRH and I used to get an occasional 40% or even a 90% once in a while ( never a Franklin or Walker though ).Even hit the very rare full size dollar rolls a couple of times
and the best I got out of those was 2 Proof Eisenhowers that were still like new . I would spend a couple of hundred dollars at a time and put them back in circulation .Then some competition moved in and was hitting the bank more frequently and re-depositing thousands of the halves back at a time , kind of took the fun out of it . Nice going DD you paid off most of that new E-trac with it . thumbsup01 thumbsup01 8)
[size=24pt]AWESOME!!!!!

Having fun is what it is all about!

im an american proud and free, a son of the south dont tread on me
Score!!!
I've been doing the CRH thing for a little more than a year. It's a lot of fun.
It's always fun to hit a grouping like that.
What is amazing is how much silver is turned in for face value.
There are several banks in my area that I am able to buy the bags off their coin counting machines and it is almost heart stopping the quantities of silver halves that are turned in for 50 cents each. . The most I found in one 1k bag was 482 90%'s and 115 40%'s. It was just surreal.
Great video DD and a big congrats on your score.
Thats a great way to hunt for silver while the snow is deep. Thanks for the video thumbsup01

Wow, half rolls certainly seem to be the most productive for CRH.

Quite a haul there! Congrats. I tried getting halves at a couple of my local banks last year, requesting 10 rolls at each. The 1st bank, before the teller gave me them, she said, Wait, I have to check them for silver. and then proceeded to open each roll! I told her where to put her halves. At the 2nd bank, marked on each roll was a check mark and ns, put on by the bank employees. Meaning checked, no silver. I went to the 3rd bank, and each roll was wrapped in a plastic wrapper. I asked the teller about the unusual wrap. She said the clear plastic makes it easy for them to check for silver!!!! I then went to a commercial bank and asked them to order a sealed box of halves. $20 charge!!!! No Way. Looks like you have some honest bank tellers over there, keep them silvers coming!
