    Howdy from NE Wisconsin

Only been detecting for the better part of 1 summer, but I'm hooked. My memorable finds so far have been 2 Morgan and 1 Peace dollars and some old British and German coins, an 1884 1 cent and a 1790 Kreutzer. There are others as well. All this besides about $600 in clad and enough pull tabs to build a house. I have a DFX and just got an AT Pro which I only have about an hour on since the ground here is frozen harder than iron. This hobby promises to keep me busy for a long time.

The coins I mentioned and others I found in the old garden area of the house my Grandfather owned. I got permission from the current owner to hunt it as long as I didn't leave a mess. Making him even happier, I found a gold earring his wife had lost several years earlier. I plan to hit the place again next summer, I didn't want to be a pest right off the bat.

The Indochina half cent I found on a school playground.

I'm definately impatient for a good thaw. Ground is hard as iron and a bunch of snow and cold. Frostbite and hypothermia kinda take the fun out of it. My AT Pro came the same day a blizzard did but I managed to get out with it for about an hour on a playground to try it out. I think I'm going to like that machine. Not going to beat my DFX but should do well.
