    Winter Lament

    Metal Detectors Winter Lament

    Floating and falling
    Through winter air
    Snowflakes gathering
    Together in pairs
    The ground once green
    Is now pearly white
    Undeniably beautiful
    Undeniably bright
In the face of such beauty
    Why do spirits fade
    We sigh and gaze
    As winter invades
    Oh for the grass
    To grow in a spurt
    Oh snow, don’t you know
I long to dig in the dirt

Psalms 24:1 ¶ The earth is the LORD'S, and all it contains...But God shares with us who search!

    Howdy Folks!
Nice poem, but then again, a bit glum.
I tend to hunt in snow. But that's just me.

Thankfully, I didn't need to worry about snow yesterday.
We went down to Colorado Springs.
    Temperature reached 69 degrees.
I had to remove my sweatshirt.
    Got sweaty and uncomfortable.

Then I enjoyed a short hunt.
Much to be said for living where I do!

    Lemme check just a sec...
ah, the forecast is for mid 50s today in Denver.
Guess I'll be digging in the dirt today!

At least you'll be able to enjoy it vicariously when I post my finds!

    Blessings,

Well, I guess bragging about our weather here is going to cause a change, and we are going into the deep freeze for the next couple of days and might get some snow to boot. I figure I'll go ahead and enjoy some downtime to heal up my leg a bit like everybody's been chiding me to do. So, I'll be in better position to commiserate with ya'll stuck with winter weather after all. If my leg was normal, I'd go out with the rock hammer and go for it. But all things considered, figure I can use a bit of downtime.

Rain and snow keeps the ground all messy,
And the ice is too thick for my poor old Lesche.

Tomorrow should be a great day, provided nothing stops me from preventing it from not happening.
