Nice job! Im sure you will start to find more. My first coin ever was a 1962 Lincoln cent in my front yard. I have only been at it for about 1 year. First silver was a 1942 Mercury dime. thumbsup01

    Great way to start Vexanie!

You found a little of everything. My first hunt wasn't near as successful as yours. I found more junk than anything else.

Looks like you are getting the hang of it pretty quickly.

Good luck on your next hunt. thumbsup01

    Re: A Beginners Finds

We all started out with finds like yours, the more time spent tecting the better your finds will get...it is not about how much or what you find as much as it is how much fun you had looking for it...when starting out everything you dig is a first, you want a wheaty, then silver anything, then rings, and the list just keeps growing...Learn your machine and don't over look locations to find the old stuff, all the best on your future hunts, can't wait till you do the Ring Happy Dance ,Dave

That is a very good start. You are on your way, and you will get better and better. It will not be long before you find a wheatie and a silver coin, and then you will really be hooked. I remember how thrilled I was to unearth my first coin. It was just a clad dime, but I was happy with it. I hope you enjoy your new hobby as much as I have.
Tomorrow should be a great day, provided nothing stops me from preventing it from not happening.

My first find was a pull tab, first coin find was a Memorial Cent. lol That was around 1971ish. So that is all it took for me to be hooked on detecting lol With those finds you are already hooked It is the best hobby in the world and I hope you will enjoy it as much as the rest of us do.

Any find is a good find. <:

Unless your looking for something specific like someones lost ring, you really can't plan what to find - so finding something is awesome! thumbsup01
