    Tell me what you think of my E-Trac Settings

    I am using Andys Coin Hunting Pattern and my settings are as follows

    Deep- on
    Fast- off
    Trash- high
    Ground- difficult
    Gain- 24
    Response- normal
    Tones- muti
    Sounds- conduct
    Variability- 28
    Tone ID Limits -30

    Sensitivity- Auto
    Manual- 26
    Auto Level +3
    Threshold- 18
    Volume Limit- 30
    Threshold Pitch- 15
    Noise Cancel- ?

    Contrast- 15
    Pinpoint- normal
    Show Sensitivity- on
    Show Mode Info- off
    Display Time out- off

    Tell me what you think, I am going to try this out this weekend at some old schools and parks. Thanks

    I tend to prefer running manual in the 26ish range rather than auto. Good luck at those sites.

    You should do well with those settings. Just a few suggestions. I would experiment with the volume gain set at from 27 through 29. When seeking very deep targets I would try setting the Response to long. That setting takes some getting used to, but it does work well. And like Randy suggested, use manual sensitivity whenever possible, having it no lower than 26. Experiment with a higher sensitivity at your sites, possibly having it at 28. Since achieving great depth at extremely trashy sites isn't the primary challenge, I would initially set the sensitivity at 24 when working such locations.
