    1870 Seated Half

I found an old site about 2390 miles East of the Hawaiian Islands, the site has a house that was built around 1860, I found the half right in the front portion of the home, It VDIed at 89-90 and was about seven inches down, Its in rough shape but Im still excited about finding it, I also found some type of token that reads 216 Grand Ave on the front and 5 cents on the back, I have to clean it better to get the rest of the writing, Kim and I will be hitting the site tomorrow with hopes of finding some more silver.

Great finds!! I love the seated half - a tad toasty, but still a BEAUTIFUL find! I'm just jealous; I've never found one...

The token caught my eye though... Went through some stuff I dug last year and finally tracked it down: the same one! Mine was only 2389 miles east though lol Right here in the city, at a dump site that's strictly 1880s and earlier. So it fits with that yummy half

Hope you find some more of the old stuff tomorrow; keep us posted!

BTW - I'm up in that area a little bit lately; I've got some goodies in the last few weeks up there. Maybe we can meet up one day!

Im not sure what toasted it, the area that I found it was in a heavy iron area but the grass area was 5 foot away, Im thinking at some time there was a lawn above it.
