    Father and son

    Hi friends
I did some cleaning today (still have some dirty spots) ..... one very small bronze coin only 14 mm diameter.
It is Constantius II ........ IV-th century, with very nice details.
The other coin were issued by Constantine the Great between 330 to 334 AD

Marcus, i know you have heard it before, but we over here wish that those types of coins were spread out here. It really must be a thrill to recover the ancients.

    Thank you guys

Well, cleaning is hard part of this beautiful hobby.I clean my coins under 8 x magnifying glass with sharp dentist tools. In short words - i scratch dirt.It is important not to damage green patina which is proof that coin was in the ground for long long time.

VDI for coins like this is 18 - 24

Thanks on the Vdi numbers. Can you keep and/or sell those, or are they state property being so old? If yes, what are they worth? martin
