    Big Silver with Rob!!

Met Rob a little after 7 this morning for a Saturday hunt, We chit chatted for a few minutes, Then the road was calling us. We made our first stop at a house in the hills that has 5-6 acres of land. It was a pretty good hunt there, though there were 6-7inch memorials here and there. My finds there were a croatal bell, a colonial shoe buckle, and two cuff, or small coat flat buttons. We then drove to another spot that I would have never found that is in our town, a nice out of the way park where Rob has found silver before. We were there for a few hours, my clad count was increasing, I saw Rob doing a HAPPY DANCE!! He scored a Mercury Dime. He told me we were not leaving until I scored a good find. Just after he told me that I got a bouncy 88-91 VDI at 3-4 inches. I was thinking a soda can, NOPE!!!! It is my 21st Silver Half dollar I have found in the 11 years I have been dirt fishing!!Happy Dance time Thanks Rob , for a great day dirtfishing!! Happy Hunting Everyone!!

    Fantastic silver.
It's incredible that you have 21 in your collection.
Did you find them evenly spread out over the 11 years or more of them towards the beginning?
    Congrats MD.

    Re: Big Silver with Rob!!

Yeah, I thought we'd do better for coinage at the house . But Tim was pulling those colonial items like a champ. I didn't find anything like that and I was practically digging every repeatable signal. I did manage to score a dateless Buffalo Nickel.

We then hit a park that is sometimes stingy and sometimes gives up a nice find. We hit a field area that was giving up DEEP clad. I wandered over towards an area I had only hit a lot of wheats in, but had not covered the whole area, (Tim was still in the field) I yelled ..I got silver...Tim came a runnin'...Then I started getting wheats. We only had about 15 min left before he had to go home. I was him. Common Tim you gotta get something good he was looking pretty pissy and down. I had just said, I've never pulled anything out of here other than dimes. Then he calls out to me...you gotta see this he's holding out his hand, full of dirt and he's shaking a bit. He turns his head and say I can't look, is it what I think it is?.... ..I see this HUGE silver coin still in the dirt in his hard, I can only see the top of the eagle sticking from the dirt.

If there was only one coin to find...that was IT. GREAT find
