I went out this morning between the rain drops >{ - hunted in the woods where I had found my first large copper. I thought I found the needle in the haystack or a fluke having not finding much of anything since. I had a penny hit and WOW- another large copper 1818 my oldest coin to date. I couldn't believe I found another one. Now I think there is a lot more to be discovered. Also found a dime and zinc penny - had to quit because of the rain.

Wow! That's a great find! After finding two Large Cents there I would definitely hunt that place thoroughly. So cool to find a coin that old with a readable date! Congrats!

There must have been something going on there other than what you can see nowMaybe dirt brought in, or maybe an old house stood somewheres around there, a long, long time ago. Neat copper.
