    Re: Newbie from Oklahoma

Dan, I just got a Garrett Ace 250 and have not gotten out yet. I know it's odd but Oklahoma got hammered with snow on Chritmas eve followed by very low temps.

I hope that in the next couple of weeks things will be back to normal and I'll be hitting the ground..

Welcome aboard Aaron!! Glad you found us. Feel free to ask questions, we'll try and help you get started. You picked a good first machine, not too complicated and not just a toy. My advice to you is to practice with your machine and a bunch of targets (coins, keys, pull tabs, bottle caps, gold ring, etc...). Try and see how deep your machine can go in an air test. Change some settings and get a feel for how your machine responds to each target. By the time the snow melts you will be ready to hit some ground thumbsup01

Welcome from Chester County, PA. Started with an Ace 250 -- that machine found silver and gold. Good luck with it.

    Jason and et al,

Sorry I forget to say what part of Oklahoma I live. I live and work in the Oklahoma City area. I plan to start hunting some of the local areas here as well as south of the city to a couple of old homesites.
