    Scored an 1916 D Merc......kinda

For the past year and a half, I have been putting all of my found clad into one savings account that I started. After all it's found money lol. My goal was to buy a 1916D merc to somewhat complete my set (still need the 41/42 overdates ). So last week I bought a 1916D in G4 condition, certified off Ebay. My wife asked if I had enough money in the account to cover it $745...squeeked in at $763.17 in the account

While I'd say that this doesn't truely count as finding one...I'd say that that clad sure can add up and be put to a good use thumbsup01

I'd like to truely complete the set and get both 41/42 overdates. I can justify the expense to my wife when it's found money.....but I may buy an X-5 with the clad first

That's why I would only buy a certified coin from a reputable grading company ....too many fakes out there

Oh baby... that's a very nice looking Merc. Glad to hear you were
able to add it to your collection by way of clad finds.
Now that you bought one... you'll probably find one in the ground soon. lol
    Well done Rob.
