Thread: A Barber Day

    A Barber Day

Yesterday's rain and warmer temperature did the trick with the semi-frozen ground. It was easy digging today.

The park yielded five silver coins, one Barber quarter, dated 1908-O, two Barber dimes, dated 1908 and 1911, a mercury dime, dated 1943, and one Roosevelt dime, dated 1947.

I also dug up this Green River Whiskey token...

... and a dozen wheat cents.

    HH!

Another great silver day Nice '08 dime. I can't believe the sheer number of silver and copper lost by people. It's amazing that after all these years of detecting, there would still be that much treasure left to find. I guess humans are sloppy We lose everything! Nice token too.

It is surprising to still be able to find old silver at the parks after all these years. It helps that the trash has been hiding them.

Geeze... Is that the guy whose head is in a jar?? Just think Angel, when you get 10,000 silver coins, we can freeze your head for future generations to see But you are starting to build a career like Ted's

In a jar? I like my head where it is. I don't know George, I may only reach 3,000 - when I'm 95 - and that's only in my wildest dreams.

I finally figured it out I can't believe you won't come clean....it's obvious You violated the Medal Detectorists Code of Honor. You've been giving your E Trac HGH or Steroids I can't believe no one figured this out before. Just admit it Angel, before Congress gets involved. And you said it was just vitamins

Oooh... cool! I've been wondering what this warmer weather and rain was doing to the ground. I actually saw brown grass today on a couple fields and it made me want to go give it a shot. Unfortunately, I was working.

    Good diggin's as usual!

Since I'm a Baseball nut, Joe DiMaggio had a 56 game consecutive game hitting streak in 1941 the alltime record which is amazing when you think about it, Ted Williams never made the 30+ game list.. FYI..

Thanks Bmattioli, I wasn't correct with anything on that was I. I knew you might chirp in with Ted though, thats why I picked his name. I'm a Yankee fan, my bad on DiMaggio. Is Ted the last one to hit .400, or am I all wet on that one too?? Ted did something great other than playing for the Red Sox's didn't he .

One of these days you're going to be wrong, because you will have finally dug it all I can't believe how many silver coins you have pulled from that park which was supposedly hunted out. It must be close to 200 now.
