    At the park

Let me start by saying work and family has been in the way of a lot of detecting this year. But got out today for a bit and went by the town skate park and saw the city had trenched the outside edge for a new irrigation system. Asked for permission from the workers no problem they said. Hopes were not high have detected this park before and it is littered with trash skateboard ball bearings zincolns etc. a detector nightmare. started walking the dirt piles from the trencher lots of beavertail tabs ( sign of age!!) then got a nice 81 vdi moved the dirt and got the wore out 19?? merc. little further 74 vdi 1931 wheat things are looking good. got to the other side of the park another mid 70's vdi 1910 wheat (hit by trencher), next swing 1928 wheat, just about back to the truck after walking the block circle and got the last wheat 1958 in the mix a smattering of clad and cleaned out some trash. tempted to hit it with the D2 but the trach in the turned dirt was horrible with the 4X6 shooter head hurts thinking of the noise the D2 would make. Thanks for looking Chris

Another good reminder that there are good targets in the ground EVERYWHERE. Some of them just need a little help getting closer to the surface. What a nice surprise to come home with all of those oldies.
