Cleaned out my trash pocket and found these

I was cleaning out my fanny pack that is use to hold trash and realized that I had forgotten about a couple of items that I tossed in there during last Sunday's Hunt.

One was a pretty solid, 2 square piece of metal. I washed it off and saw that it said Avon on one side. It is an old makeup compact. Opening it up broke the hinge but the mirror is trashed anyway. I thought it was neat that it has a second compartment that opens from the side.

The other is a small spoon that I thought was one of several cheap, disposable baby spoons that I have found in the area. Turns out it is silver! Not sure why it says souvenir on the handle.

Ok Bill. you can come down and check my junk piles for me. lol Usually all I find is junk Nice compact. Wonder how far that style goes back to. Does the spoon have any picture on or in the spoon bowl? Must have been sold somewhere for a reason. They usually show why though

Yeah, I thought that was strange also. No other markings on the spoon other than Sterling on the back.

From the land of the Bluenose.....amazing what one digs up during the year. Like the spoon as it is a different type of find!
