Another week of work work work... meaning no evening hunts. Saturday was busy too, but I did get out for a short hunt in the dirt where I scored an odd pin, some wheats, and a '46 Rosie. Sunday I did the tot lot thing and hit a large cluster of them a few towns over. They didn't hold the treasures I'd hoped for but I did alright. The wood chips at one of them were laced with chewed up chunks of copper and brass, and I accumulated an ounce or so of each, which I threw in my respective scrap buckets. On my way home I tried the dirt again hoping for more silver but wound up with another few wheats only as well as a nifty older Boy Scout pendant with the old pledge promising to be square. This is the second pendant like this I've found, and the wording still cracks me up. If anyone can ID the pin with the eagle on it next to the pendant, that would be great.
Total for the weekend was 135 coins worth $10.31. At this point I'm happy just getting out, regardless of what I find (though the Rosie sure didn't hurt).
Happy hunting!
