    F5 found a SLQ

Took the F5 to a park I heven't been to since April and it had lots of coins for me to find.
Also quite a few pulltabs. The 6 acre park has been in use since the early 1950's and is nice and quiet--especially at 7 am in the morning. It was in the low 60's and great.
After getting my fill of the totlot I went out in the grass to try.

I thought I heard a target.... I scanned again and heard a very quiet high tone---- a whisper signal !!!!!!!!!
Most of us know a repeatable quiet tone is a deeper good target.

Pinpointing mode showed a quarter at 6 inches........--I was saying to myself------it HAD to be silver--it HAD to be silver !!

I dug a deep 6 inches--7 inches for sure and a nice shiney silver familiar color coin, was brought out of the hole. Even an experienced detectorist in the excitment of seeing a silver coin, can get too close with the digging tool.......:-\

A very well worn Standing Liberty quarter.

It's at the bottom left of the picture. The rest is all the clad I dug.

Nothing like that deep high tone whisper, the sound we all love to hear! Any SLQ is a great find! That's a nice early one too! I'd love to see the front. I have to live vicariously through others since I haven't found a SLQ yet this year.

Fantastic find! Great pile of clad too!
