    Close to Home

Decided to visit my Mother today, she 86 and I like to check in on her now and then. She lives about 2 minute from my house. While I was there I decided to check her front lawn with my reliable 1500 Garrett. Two minutes into the hunt I got a nickle signal. Out pops a 1973 college ring. I love this hobby. | |

Great find! Cleaned up pictures would be nice too. That's something wierd to find in mom's front yard. But very cool.

It definitely wasn't expected but being in this hobby for many years I've been pleasantly surprise on many occasions.

Nice find Mark. Much better than a nickle . Goes to show you you never know what's coming out of that hole. Sometimes the places we least expect have the best treasures.
By the way, Sue and I are on our way to Maine tomorrow to close up the cottage. Will be taking the detector with us. Will be looking for that lost cash register
