About Freakin' Time!!! My first silver!!!

So, I woke up this morning saying this would be the day I find my first silver and IT WAS!!! Me an 'ol Dirt Lizard (From the Friendly Forum) headed out today to a couple of parks. One in New Haven and the other in Branford. I found the wheatie at the New Haven spot. At the second park, DL got a cool belt buckle from what he thinks is the Civil War or maybe earlier. Across the street from the park was this home from the early 1800's. The owner asked me about what I was doing. We got to talking about the hobby and I asked if we could hunt his yard. He said we could and away we went. This is where I netted the really old lookin' flat button (which is smaller than a dime), and my first silver coin, a 1947 Rosie. I found it at the base of an old tree stump that was in the yard at about three inches deep. I've been hunting since May of 2011 and all I can say is.....finally! Happy Hunting everybody!

Congratulations on your first silver. I still know the feeling of waiting for that first one so I can strongly relate to how you feel. Keep hunting and they will come, hopefully soon.

    Good luck.

Score! <: The first one is the hardest to get. They'll start coming more regularly for you now.
The first one is definitely a beautiful sight. But each one that follows is equally exiting.
I'm certainly not a button guy... but the one you found is an oldie. Some of our relic experts will give you more info soon.
A big congrats to you snap!
