Having Fun With The E-Trac - Silver, Indian, Wheats, And Token

The weather is cold, but the ground remains unfrozen here in northern Colorado. I put on some extra layers of clothes and ventured out into the 30 something weather for a Hunt. The plan was to revisit a couple of small parks in two different farm towns out on the Plains. Both parks had produced some nice Silver Dimes, and I was eager to hit them again with my new E-Trac. It didn't take long for the fun to start...

The Indian came in low like a Zinc Penney, but sounded solid in all directions.

The E-Trac gave the proper ID on this deep Mercury Dime, and the sound of Silver was unmistakable.

This Winged Liberty remained hidden for years along side this big rusty nail. Have I mentioned how much I enjoy my E-Trac! lol

Along with the Silver, and Indian, the hunt brought several Wheats, and a nice little Colorado 2mil Tax Token.

The weather is going to warm up a little this week, and I am already looking forward to some Holiday hunt time.

Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving,
    Jack

It's a sweet machine that finds those tiny silver disks even hidden by rusty stuff.
Great recovery on those two ladies and the fella with the feathers. Those old parks are now new hunting sites for you. Good Luck and HH. |

Looked like a fun hunt to me.
Glad to hear you are really enjoying your machine.
Three silvers and an IH would make my day.
The silver tone is such a sweet sound. Especially the ones with a little warble to it. Then you know you got a deep one.

Many people aren't aware, and I often forget myself, that the portrait on an Indian Head Cent is actually a female. It's Lady Liberty wearing a headdress, the Red Book refers to her as an Indian Princess. The designer of the coin was James Longacre, and it is thought that the rendering of the Indian Princess was based on his daughter Sarah.

It looks like you are having a blast with your new E-Trac, Jack! I'm sure that you have many exciting hunts ahead of you! I can't wait to see what you find next! thumbsup01
