    Metal Detecting and Geocaching

I do some Geocaching along with my MDing... I have decided to start promoting MDing while I Geocache. I thought I would put local MDing cards, found coins, anything related to MDing in the cache... Anyone with other Ideas would be appreciated...

Similar, but not exactly the same. Both are similar that you find directions on a web site, follow the directions to a container in the field, and then log your find on the web site. The cultures, hence the style of directions, vary somewhat, but its more or less the same (IMHO anyway, but you will always find a diehard in one or the other who will argue that point).

The key difference is that with letterboxing you are exchanging rubber stamp images, and with geocaching you are exchanging trinkets. HTH.
