    using corded headphones on v3

    hi all, I bought a new pair of grey ghost headphones for my dfx and then sold the dfx and bought a v3. I plugged the headphones in to the v3 today and had to turn the volume almost full blast on the headphones to hear the threshold. I turned the threshold volume on the v3 3/4 of the way up just to hear the threshold. Is this normal or am I missing something. Thank you pointer80

    Flip the toggle switch on your Grey Ghost. It's right next to the volume knob.

    cybersage, are you talking about the limiter? I can't seem to notice any difference in either position. I did learn the selector switch mutes the headphone volume when turned on. Thank you pointer80

    The limiter is built in and non adjustable on the original Grey Ghost Headphones. I believe the toggle is a selector switch for metal detector compatibility. If you have it in the wrong position your audio will be muted on the V3 just as you have described. Check it again.

    If Jack's suggestion doesn't work, here's another trick...

    Carefully pull the headphone jack out slowly about 3/16 of an inch...just until you feel a slight click on the jack. Then try your headset again.

    If the above works, you have a mono jack on the Grey Ghosts and just need to send them back to be rewired.

    Check your volumne setting on the V3.... you have 3 differnt adjustments.......One for wireless phones, One for speaker, And one for wired phones.....Check them and turn it up there
