a' reale' nice day for me....

in spite of the fact that it was 15*!!! After church this morning I headed to the beach and yes, it was 15*!! I bundled up real good and headed out. At first my hands (due to arthritis) were so painful from the cold (yes, had gloves on) and I was in tears and about to give up, I convinced myself to stop being a baby and tough it up and I am glad I did!....when I picked up this coin, the size of a dime, I knew it was something, not sure, but I knew and I immediately forgot all about the cold! it's a 1780 reale, the size of a dime, not sure if it's a one or half but will have it checked out this week...Spent two hours, yes two hours in 15* temperature finding target after target. I finally found gold on this beach, the small heart....the chain has no marking but I think it's plated....I had to leave because I promised Ileen I would go to the movies with her but I am going back tomorrow!!! .thanks for looking!

    yes yes! 1780
You are my heroic friend))) hunting on the beach in the cold is severe.
But the good coin - brings the heat ...

Do not stop - look for the coins - on the beach,
    coin + coin = treasure
Now your hands are not sore? I understand you . ( (I'm digging in the cold beach )

The one reales usually say 1R or R on the back (at least mine do). Not sure about the 1/2 reales, but the dime-sized ones are usually 1/2 reales. In any case, very nice find, congrats

    Very nice find Sandy!!

If it says 1R on the reverse it's a 1 reale... in my experience (limited) they are about the size of a dime and 1/2 reales are smaller. Great coin!

Sandy, what a gutsie gal you are. 15* and you hung in there. Very nice find with that 1780 (what I think is 1/2 reale). At 15* I am not so sure that I would have hung around.
