    ArtWI Hello everyone!

Have been detecting since 1998 and just found this forum. Lots of friendly folks on here! I'm located in central Wisconsin near Montello. I have owned many detectors over the years and have 7 right now including a Garrett At Pro that I just purchased along with another At Pro for my son who wants to start detecting. I retired in 1993 from my career with the Madison WI fire dept.

    Good Hunting, ArtWI

Hello Art and welcome to the forum from SE WI. It is always nice to welcome a fellow Fire Fighter. I've been on the job for over 24 years. I'm guessing we live about an hour and a half from each other so maybe some day we can meet half way and do a little detecting.

    Hey ArtWI
Welcome to the forum from the cornfields of Illinois!
It's always good to have another experienced detectorist amongst the ranks thumbsup01
I can hardly wait to see what you've been able to come up with up in your neck of the woods.
Have you ever had much luck at some of those small backwoods, out of the way lakes with the small beaches?
My parents live up north and there are numerous small backwoods lakes around . I was wondering if you've had any experience hunting those types of places? :->

Welcome to the group. I spent ten years in Stevens Point, loved the area and the people, hated the winters. Good luck digging up history
