i don't think there ever was a denomination put to those ... regardless it is a great piece of history you found and i like the pointed ray and scripted U.S. variety .

Kenstorm , it looks close to the Crosby 5-E variety as the wreath on the back has 26 pairs of leaves , can you confirm this ?? it would be a scarce URS-8 on the rarity scale ( 65 to 124 examples known)
