    Anyone else follow NCAA?

I am a basketball fan -- anyone else following the NCAA games? I 'trained' my 11 year old daughter as well and she watches with me and keeps track too.

After Missouri and Duke both lost tonight, I need to just tear up my brackets though but I don't think I am alone there

Angie, my boss's father sits on the board of the Basketball Hall of Fame and every year he gets to go to the Final Four. Talk about connections.

    Re: Anyone else follow NCAA?

I like college round-ball, but there are just too many games to watch during the first round. I don't miss the final four if I can help it.

BTW: The casinos here are packed with basketball fans during the daytime. (Easy money at poker table)

I was starting to think I was the only one who followed it stretcher: It is my only sports thing (besides metal detecting).

Leroy, I have to say that I am not a huge UK basketball fan. (If I were to say that out loud anywhere in this state, I would be flogged, beaten, and boiled alive ). I have never seen such basketball fans in my life as are the UK fans here. It is insane.

In fact, of my three brackets, only one has UK even in the final four. That was an objective decision based on their last three games before the NCAA began, which were less than impressive.

    Re: Anyone else follow NCAA?

Yes, that level of insanity is just stupid. I am going to barricade myself in my house tomorrow night. 8/

Kentucky has a great basketball team but it's all based on reputation. None of the players have any roots in KY or any care about the state, except for its basketball reputation. In fact the reason the team is always freshmen-loaded is because they are recruited to the pros after their freshman year. Think Anthony Davis will be playing for the Wildcats next year? No....

So that's why I don't see it as loyalty... just fame and notoreity and not school or state loyalty. Ugggh....

Still, there is this... How to beat Kentucky.... an uphill task for Kansas
