I have never recorded any of my hunts. :: I was always too focused on detecting. lol Besides, I very much doubt I would have dug the 23 silver dimes had I been recording the hunt.

This a dream to find a park that has not been hunted out. 23 silver dimes is unbelivable in one day and one park. My E-trac salutes you. Thanks for giving us hope. BigJohn

Yesterday I was able to detect for a while at an old park. From there I picked up three silver coins - a 1849/1848 Seated half dime, a merc and a Roosevelt dime. I also dug up five Indian Head cents, but they are corroded.

The Seated half dime is an overdate, 1849/1848.

Today afternoon I headed to detect at a small park I had recently spotted. I had a great time detecting there, picking up 23 silver coins - 7 Roosevelt dimes and 16 mercury dimes.

The site also yielded two large cents. I initially thought they were in better shape, but my eyes deceived me. 8/

An Old Dutch Cleanser watch fob. It still had a piece of the watch strap, but it must have dropped off when I took it out to take photos.

Congrats Angel, you sure vaccumed that place of the silver! The half-dime looks great too, experience tells when we see a pile of goodies like this.Hope you clean up again this year, but leave a few for Tony two-cent.HH....

What can be said that already hasn't? Simply awesome.

It does give me renewed faith that not all parks are picked out or close to it.
