    Ugly Silver

I went back to the site where my son found his mercury dime this past Saturday. First of all, I owe him an apology because I told him this site was worthless since the first time I hunted there, I barely had any targets. His response was that I was impatient (I won't admit or deny it). Here are my finds for a three hour hunt and these have to be the ugliest silver ever but I'm not complaining.

    Thanks for looking.

This is not acceptable! I am kicking myself for not staying at that site longer! You know there's more there too. Congrats on some sweet digs.

    Looks pretty good to me!

FYI: That bent SLQ will straighten out easily if you have the inclination. Just place it between two pieces of thin cardboard and give it one moderate whack with a hammer.

    Re: Ugly Silver

I agree that silver isn't ugly, just bent a little. I got a 1/2 reale that was bent. I put it between two pieces of hard wood and hit it with a hammer. It straightened it out pretty good.

That's some beautiful Ugly Silver you found.
The SLQ is a tough one to find. Add a Merc to the mix and I'd be one happy camper.
    Congrats on some nice keepers.

    Re: Ugly Silver

Those are far from ugly. I have silver that have been cut, that have been chewed by lawnmowers and are encased in corrosion.

What you found are just everyday silvers!

No such thing as ugly silver, and SLs are way to hard to find to be talking about them. Great hunting |)
