yellow snake in the woods plus silver

Decided to hit a new park today that I had done some research online to find.Got started around noon and right away hit two wheats and one 1951D Rosie.Mike aka Silver Star called me and asked if I wanted to detect at a spot in the woods we havent been to yet, since the ground was really dry I figured the park could wait and drove to meet up with Mike.

After about an hour hiking through the woods Mike found a couple of wheat backs, then he calls me over and said he found silver, a 1920 SLQ, in good condition about an inch or so under the dirt.I headed about 20 feet down the creek bend and get a shallow signal on my ATpro(68), out pops this 14k gold snake ring, 13.6g, my first ever gold from the woods!.Next Mike hit a nice coin spill with two Mercs and
a couple of wheats.I hit a 1943s Merc and two wheats. Also found a Boy scouts of
America compass, four shotgun shells, and a continental 1886 silverplated spoon.

Had a great day detecting despite it being Friday the 13th! Total clad for me today was $1.46, four wheats, two '44, one '45 and one '46.Thanks for looking, happy hunting....
