Found a war nickel without a detector.

We just replaced the entire kitchen in our old house that had a kitchen addition built on in 1963 and they used a 1943 nickel as a cabinet shim! The nickel was placed under the rear of a lower cabinet. It seems that shims were not invented yet cause they used anything they could find as shims including, broken up yardstick, torn pieces of old lenolium, coins and nails? Quality work for sure!
