Can anyone help me with this button? I found three of them in about a 20 foot area at an old homestead. This is the best one and it say ARI Metalworks, Newark, New Jersey on the back side.
Thanks for any help.[attachimg=1][attachimg=2]

It is a military button called the Great Seal Button. They have been in use since 1902 but your version dates after 1910. The backmark should read ART METAL WORKS. I think I see traces of black paint on it which would date this button to the WWI period.
