    Help IDing this medallion

Found this in an abandoned town in SE Texas on a recent organized relic hunt. The medallion says CHIEFS OF POLICE AND CITY MARSHALS ASSN OF TEXAS. The only thing I can locate is an obituary from the Corciana, Tx police chief showing he was the president from 1911-1914. If anyone can direct me to a source who can ID this medallion, it would be appreciated.

    Re: Help IDing this medallion

it appears to be a medal from an old close knit fraternal organization started just before WWI in the Texas area , other than that there not a lot of info out there about it.

this is probably the Obituary info you found but it does contain some good info.
