    Brass item from street project

This is about three inches long, any ideas on what it is? We have found lost of turn of the century items and coins in this area.

I put my imagination to work when I first saw it, but soon figured that it was a thingy. Obviously, I was mistaken. lol

    Great identification!

I showed this to my 87 yr old grandmother, she knew what it was right away. You learn something everyday, as it should be.

    lol

I'm not surprised that Dan knew what it was. I looked at it earlier too and agreed with John that it was definitely a brass thingy What is truly sad is that if I ever find one I still won't know what it is. lol
