Taking advantage of the warm weather Doug and I got out early to beat the coming rain storms. We decided to go to a new place that we had been talking about for awhile and we are glad that we did. Started out with some clad then my first good find was a 1936 wheatie, so the site offered some promise. A bit later I got my second wheatie a 1945. We were both digging memorials at up to 5 inches so we did wonder a bit. I then got a jumpy 15-44 signal but it sounded very good. My target turned out to be a 1926 well worn Merc that was on edge. There is nothing like the sight of that silver rim in the hole. About a half hour later Doug called me and he had struck silver too, a 1960 Rosey. It was time to leave but on the way out Doug got a decent signal and dug a costume ring with a big stone or shall we say glass! I got a quarter signal and then dug a silver .925 sterling ring that had stones all around it. We had a good day and will return.
