    It Only Takes One Find

After nearly 4 hours of getting nothing in an iron infested site, I decided to work my way back to the truck. It was nearly dark when I got a choppy 69-77 signal on the T2SE. About 6 down I recovered a SC Civil War button with a Schuyler back-mark and a couple of square nails out of the hole. I was 15' from the truck.

    Wow... incredible find laserfeller.

Just takes one hole to make the hunt successful. Sometimes it's on the way back to the truck.

    Congrats.

Great find. Its better getting it on the way back to the truck, than on your way out.

WOW, thats a nice button. Your dirt is much kinder to relics down south than here in New England.

    Thanks for all the replies.
Many of the places I hunt are pine forest, hay fields and farm land. The soil is usually mild and sandy and unless the fields have been heavily fertilized, the relics and coins come out of the ground looking pretty good.
