    2013 is off to a great start!

    2013 is off to a great start for me! My detecting partner got us permission to hunt a couple of new properties. One was a farm field and the other was the yard of an 1850's house. We started 2 weeks ago in the farm field and I got my first half cent. It's in great condition for a field find. Last week on Saturday we went to the yard and my second target was a beautiful 1802 Draped Bust large cent (my first Draped Bust with a readable date) along with 2 Barber dimes and an Indian Head Penny. Went back Sunday and found a couple of wheats. The Barber dimes and the indian went to the home owner. Now, if we can just get this snow to stop surprising us. HH all!!

    I know what you mean about the snow.....please please go away. Your 2013 season is off to a great start. Love both the 1/2 cent and the draped cent, darn good shape for both of them. Both of those coins are on my hit list. on some great keepers

    On some Awesome finds!! And a successfull early hunt! Both are in beautiful condition! WTG!! Hint: Reduce the size of your photo's. They will load much faster. And will be just as large on the forum page. I make mine about 3 X 4.

    | I must say, I'm very jealous. Very nice Coins. I've been detecting 11 year on and off and have never found a Half Cent. I have no wonder why. 2 Centers no problem but Half Cents keep eluding me
