Just started out I'm the type who just likes to explore. I'm game for anything right now. Not sure how to run my detector. Right went out in yard found an old Match box car and really thats it. Weather hasn;t been all that great.

i myself mostly relic hunt colonial house foundations and fields for old coins and relics the quantity isn't great but occasionally you find some great old items , i agree the weather stinks lately but fall is one of the best times to detect out in the woods. parks and schools are great places to find clad , some silver coins and even some jewelryand then theres always the beach . its a great place to cut your teeth on a new detector and the digging very easy and your not very far away.

Just got my V3i and live in Las Vegas. Found out I dare not go to Lake Mead with it. Are their any other locals know where and where not to go? I'm off weekends and would love to hang out with anyone who knows more about the V3i and where to go around here
    Thx in advance

Welcome Calbo. I hope you stick around. Lowjiber is one of our most senior staff here and now lives where you do. I don't know if he can answer your questions, but he knows a lot about the v3i.
