    OLD COPPER QUESTION :huh:thinkingabout:

    Found this copper today on a cornfield hunt , can't figure out what it is reverse appears to be a crown over a harp thinkingabout:?

    [attachimg=1]I think that is a Irish Hibernia copper. I've found a couple from the 1760's but they may go up to the early 1800's too. Nice find if that is what it is.

    I did get them new lol My one and only cache. 4 coins, A 1787 Fugio, a 1786 CT copper, and 2 Hibernia half pennies, 1769, 1781. That Hibernia was coin #2 from the cache.

    How do you know it was a cache and not a spill?

    Either way...a heck of a find and really gets one going <:
