    yes it looks like French regimental army button , perhaps very late 1700's to maybe early 1800's . i could see it being used during Napoleon's time

    not "off hand" i don't , values seem to depend on the historic significance of the item ...

    for example , if you could research the button to a particular regiment that was responsible for a crucial battle /victory that changed the outcome of the war and was in Napoleon's army . then it would be a very collectable and desirable piece .
