    New to detecting

My name is Ricky and I am new to the hobby. I own a Whites V3. I probably should have started with a less complicated machine but after my research I settled on this unit because I wanted what I felt was the best I could afford and did not want to have to upgrade shortly after I made my initial purchase. It is my first detector of any kind. I live in the Chicagoland area of Illinois and would love to go on a hunt with someone in my area who can show me how this machine works or can give me general detecting tips. Show me the ropes so to speak.

    Re: New to detecting

hello Ricky and welcome to the forum , thats a very good detector and theres alot of good experienced people here that i'm sure would be happy to give ya pointers . most high end machines seem very complicated at first especially if your new to the hobby but practice and asking alot of questions will help with that learning curve .

best of luck to ya .
