    new display case

    bored today so,i decided to work on my relic display case.picked this up at the salvation army for $5 was filled with different types of beans to be hung on the wall.took the plexi glass off,dumped the kidney beans,corn kernals ,cinnamon sticks etc.saved some styro foam from a box and worked on it today.gonna hook a wire on the back and hang it on the wall

    Nice Dave! how did you get everything to stay in place? is it pressed between the plexi and Styrofoam?

    Very nice display case. I see you had plenty of supervision. One of my 7 cats would have been in it and on it and I would never have finished (sanely)!

    ....I know that is only a small part of your "collection", and I've been admiring your finds over the years (especially through that video you did a few years ago)....but to see such an awesome assortment of fantastic relics...completely blows the mind....

    And a great salvage job converting that into a display case too!

    thanks! yep half of the items are staying because of the pressure the buttons i made slits in the styro and inserted the shanks..a few items slid a little when hanging it.oops! oh well

    Very nice display ! Good job of "repurposing" that old case.
    Oldest find: 5,000 year old copper spearhead

    Coolest find: USA button with blue threads still on shank
