    Back to Back Silver Weekends

Working a 4-10 schedule to include Sundays works out great for detecting the beaches during this time of year. Not as many folks out on a Thursday versus a Sat. Once again me and the Mrs took our wave runner out for the day, where I normally drop her off at a cool little island good for shelling and I cruise over to a more popular beach goers area. This day I decided to work the edges of the sand and brush/tree line. Found one nice secluded spot where I would even set up to spend the day. Almost immediately my Garrett rang out with a strong steady tone and after digging six inches through the sand, and a few more in the dirt, out popped my second silver in two weeks, and what a beauty After cleaning off the grime I could see the 925 even with out my reading glasses. Took it by the jewelers today and the rocks are gems and probably amethyst. Found a silver earring last weekend and they told me the little stones were crystals. Man, can't wait to go back. Good hunting all

Thanks Dan. It is a sweet looking ring. I thought it was an oldie as deep as it was, but my cousin who does Estate Sales said she seen one like it and only around 1980
Thanks Don. In fact, my wife cleaned it up with Tarn-X. Yea, I get a few looks when I pull up close to the beach and anchor, then untie my detector and scope and wade to shore. Good hunting guys.

Thanks Timewarpdigger. My best haul so far for battery money since moving to FL $7.48, and my third ring. I tell you, digging in the sand sure beats the concrete grounds in MO in the dead of summer. Good hunting to ya
