    Foreign Currency Clad

I found an international clad spill. It was located close to the river and it was swampy soil. The coins were very crusty. Once I determined they were clad, I used a brass bristle brush to clean them up enough to ID. Unfortunately with the exception of the Itilian Lira I still have not been able to identify the coins origins.

Each coin is the size of a quarter.

Any idea where in the world these coins originated?

    Thank you DaddyDigger

Sure would be nice to know how these coins got together and then dropped in the most unlikely of places.

Sometimes you just never know what will come out of the ground next.

I recognize that Drachma. Pulled it and many other odd coins out of circulation before computers did. Neat (and weird) find Bear!
